We are recruiting for the role of Money/Welfare Advice Specialist in social housing in Manchester. Experience in a similar role is essential. This is a temp role until June, hybrid with 2 days in the office (occasional travel for meetings may be required) and Monday to Friday hours. The hourly rate is between £18.50 and £20.20 with the option to be paid PAYE or Umbrella.

You'll play a key part in supporting customers to improve their financial wellbeing, maximise their income and sustain their tenancies. Working closely with neighbourhood teams and external partners, you'll provide practical, person-centred money advice that helps residents navigate welfare benefits, manage debt and build long-term financial stability.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A solid understanding of welfare benefits, income-related legislation and housing processes.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable customers in challenging situations.
  • Confidence in working independently, managing referrals, advocating for residents and building strong partnerships with agencies such as DWP, local authorities and community services.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and IT skills.
