Research Project Accountant Opportunity. Hays are working with a leading higher education institution to recruit an experienced Research Project Accountant for an urgent interim contract. This role will suit an individual with previous experience supporting research programmes, grant-funded projects, or complex project accounting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing monthly WIP reporting across a portfolio of research projects
- Monitoring project performance against budgets and forecasts
- Supporting grant-funded and externally funded research programmes
- Preparing financial reports for stakeholders and project managers
- Analysing project costs, income and funding streams
- Supporting month-end reporting and project reconciliations
- Providing financial insight and business partnering support to project stakeholders
What You'll Need
- Previous Research Project Accounting or Project Accounting experience
- Strong understanding of project reporting and financial analysis
- Experience working with grant-funded projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
- Previous university or higher education sector experience is highly desirable
