An established organisation operating within a structured and regulated environment is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support supplier management and commercial delivery. This role will play a key role in driving value, governance, and strong supplier relationships across the business.
Your new role
- Negotiating commercial terms, conditions, pricing, and contracts with suppliers
- Acting as the primary point of contact between suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitoring purchase order budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation
- Tracking supplier performance, managing KPIs, and resolving issues at a senior level
- Maintaining accurate supplier order books and procurement data within the Oracle ERP system
- Supporting the implementation of corporate procurement processes, including strategic supplier, subcontract, and commodity management
- Coaching and supporting junior team members, contributing to audits and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in buying, procurement, or purchasing
- Demonstrated capability in leading negotiations and managing supplier relationships
- Experience with terms and conditions
- Demonstrated experience with cross-functional relationships internally and externally
- Eligibility for security clearance
