An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. There is potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial term to support a comprehensive handover and the ongoing needs of the business. This opportunity would suit a part-qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant looking to broaden their experience within a professional services environment while continuing their studies with the support of an experienced finance team.

Your new role:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Producing KPI reports and monthly management information packs
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Supporting statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including ONS submissions
  • Posting payroll journals and liaising with internal stakeholders
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and reforestation processes
  • Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis and Excel-based reporting

What you'll need to succeed:

  • ACCA or CIMA part-qualified and actively studying
  • Previous experience in a management accounting or finance role
