Your new roleAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of high-specification manufacturing equipment, including CNC Lathes, Millers, and Grinders. Working across a state-of-the-art facility, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Conducting alignment and geometry checks using precision measurement equipment.
- Ensuring equipment is safe, available, and capable of meeting production schedules.
- Using hand tools and diagnostic equipment to meet technical requirements.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and data to implement effective mechanical solutions.
- Coordinating activities with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Operators.
- Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers to restore equipment performance.
- Supporting OEMs and Design Engineers during equipment interventions.
- Adhering to strict engineering control standards and procedures.
This role is integral to maintaining the performance of equipment used in the production of advanced aerospace components, contributing directly to the delivery of world-class propulsion systems.
What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- A time-served apprenticeship.
- NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 qualification.
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace and defence experience is highly advantageous).
- Proven ability to carry out a range of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and preventive work.
- Willingness and ability to work a three-shift pattern (Mon-Fri).
