Your new company is an established international Lloyd's Insurance broker based in the City of London seeking a Senior North American Property & Casualty Claims Handler to join its claims team, with a specific focus on North American business. This role would suit an experienced claims professional with a strong background in handling US and Canadian Property & Casualty claims from cradle to grave, looking to work within a technically strong, market-facing environment.
In this role, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of North American Property and Casualty claims, managing matters from initial notification through to final settlement. You will be responsible for coverage analysis, investigation coordination, reserving and settlement negotiation, working closely with brokers, underwriters, TPAs, adjusters, lawyers and other external advisors.
The position offers exposure to complex and higher-value Open market and Binder claims and the opportunity to contribute to claims MI, trend analysis and process improvement initiatives.
In order to succeed, you will have extensive experience handling North American P&C claims, ideally within the London Market or Lloyd's environment. Strong technical knowledge of US policy wordings, claims practices and regulatory considerations is essential, alongside the ability to manage a demanding caseload autonomously. You will be a confident communicator with a detail-focused, proactive approach to claims handling.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000, dependent on experience, together with the opportunity to work for a reputable international Lloyd's broker offering exposure to a high-quality North American book and long-term career development.
