Due to expansion within the North American property team, a permanent role for a Senior Account Handler / Technician has arisen.

Your new role

Your new role as a Senior Account Handler / Technician will be working in the North American property team, meaning you will be responsible for providing open-market technical support in the team on Insurance/Reinsurance, single-slip/multi-layered programmes, including catastrophe-exposed areas. You will be working as part of the North American Team servicing business as required. The role supports the Open Market Brokers by assisting them in providing underwriters with accurate and relevant information on risks, and is responsible for delivering post-bind servicing as well as being a technical referral point.

Some key responsibilities include the day-to-day client servicing, from initial submission of risks to hand over to the technical team for invoicing. You will prepare a renewal presentation to broke to underwriters.

Prepare Open Market Reform Contracts (MRC's) including endorsements and any adjustments. Other duties will include producing client documentation and ensuring Contract Certainty.

Process placements and endorsements promptly. Check slips and/or endorsements prepared by other team members before they are presented to underwriters for review. This role will also include preparing statistical analysis, including loss runs where necessary. You will also be expected to undertake any other responsibilities which may become necessary for the proper performance of the role.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you must have experience producing North American Open Market Property documentation to include MRC slips, ideally working knowledge of crystal and be able to use where appropriate, be able to use Electronic Placement systems and be proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes, including Outlook, Internet Explorer and Total Objects/GXB. You should be able to manage workload and act independently. You must possess strong communication skills and understand the affinity for relationship building.
