A well-established and growing fashion retailer is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant into its London finance team. Operating across both retail and e-commerce channels, the business has built a strong brand presence and continues to invest in growth, innovation, and its people. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the management accounts process while supporting commercial decision-making across the business. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Ownership of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Delivering insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Partnering with key stakeholders across retail, e-commerce and head office functions
- Assisting with cash flow reporting and working capital analysis
- Supporting year-end audit requirements
- Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance
- Providing financial analysis to support key commercial decisions and strategic initiatives
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience preparing management accounts within a retail, fashion, consumer, wholesale or e-commerce environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, changing environment
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capabilities
