The Opportunity
/n An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major infrastructure project at Heathrow Airport. You will be responsible for managing the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of a key package of works, leading a team of engineers and supervisors to ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Working in a live operational airport environment, you will play a key role in coordinating civil, structural, enabling, and infrastructure works while maintaining close collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.
/n Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Lead the delivery of civil and structural works, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget objectives are achieved.
/n
- Manage short-term planning and sequencing of works in line with the overall project programme.
/n
- Coordinate day and night shift activities to maximise productivity and programme performance.
/n
- Ensure all permits, RAMS, QA documentation, and compliance requirements are in place.
/n
- Monitor package performance, proactively managing risks, opportunities, and costs.
/n
- Support, coach, and develop engineers and supervisors within the team.
/n
- Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all activities.
/n
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and best practice throughout project delivery.
/n

Requirements
/n
/n
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
/n
- Proven experience delivering civils, groundworks, structural steel, or infrastructure projects.
/n
- Strong package management experience, including planning, reporting, and budget control.
/n
- Knowledge of NEC contracts.
/n
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
/n
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
/n
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
/n
/n
Desirable
/n
/n
- Previous Heathrow Airport or live operational infrastructure experience.
/n
- Knowledge of architectural fit-out, M&E, or systems installation.
/n
- Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM 360, or similar engineering software.
/n
/n
Qualifications

- CSCS Card
/n
- SMSTS
/n
- Full UK Driving Licence
/n
/n
Security RequirementsDue to Heathrow Airport security requirements, candidates must:
/n
/n
- Be eligible to obtain an Airside Pass.
/n
- Provide a fully checkable five-year work history.
/n
- Have no unspent criminal convictions.
/n
- Be able to commute to Heathrow Airport.
/n
/n
Competitive rate of pay. 40 hours a week. Based at Heathrow Airport
