- Lead on budget setting, forecasting, monitoring and year-end closure activities for a portfolio of services within Adult Social Care and/or Children & Young People's Services.
- Provide high-quality financial advice, challenge and business partnering support to budget holders, service managers and senior stakeholders.
- Support the financial planning and management of complex, demand-led budgets, ensuring financial risks and opportunities are identified and reported.
- Prepare financial analysis, statutory returns, grant claims and funding submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and performance information to support strategic decision-making.
- Operate and improve financial systems, processes and controls to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
