Our client is working on a large programme looking for Full Stack Developers who can provide strong technical guidance within their agile delivery team, supporting the technical lead to make sound engineering decisions, mentor junior members, and provide the powerhouse of effort in delivery of value to the customer. Senior Developers are responsible for maintaining engineering quality, facilitating effective delivery, following MAPPS architectural patterns across their products, and working closely with the Technical Team Lead to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce waste in translating requirements into valuable, desirable system behaviour.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Senior experience on at least one of:
- Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security
- JavaScript/TypeScript & React

Key Responsibilities:
- Strong Engineering Discipline: Be the example of solid, sustainable engineering delivery that meets quality standards. Maintain coding standards, testing strategies, code review quality, and ensure story point estimates remain realistic. Challenge poor quality PRs and avoid shortcuts.
- Support the Tech Team Lead: Shape and decompose work to define stories that are testable, observable, and aligned to readiness gates.
- Mentor and uplift the team: Support your team in making sound design decisions, model good engineering behaviours (including 'ask early'), and escalate blockers when required.
- Support cross team consistency: Understand the wider MAPPS solution landscape to ensure alignment, reduce duplication, and maintain consistency of common components.
- Maintain high standards and avoid being pressured into accepting poor code or rushed decisions.
- Seek support early - no one is expected to know everything.
- Operate as a bridge between technical and non-technical roles (PM, DM, BA) to ensure cohesive delivery.
- Engage early with non-technical roles to move swiftly into development and thus unmask hidden requirements and misunderstandings (be agile).
