An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Negligence Fee Earner to join a well-regarded, people-focused law firm with a strong reputation across the North West. You will become part of a collaborative and supportive team handling a broad mix of claimant clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value cases. This Clinical Negligence Lawyer role will see you:
- Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims of differing complexity and value from inception to settlement
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, correspondence and key litigation documents
- Advise clients clearly and empathetically, managing expectations throughout the life cycle of a claim
- Liaise with Counsel, medical experts, courts and other third parties
- Attend client meetings, conferences and hearings where appropriate
- Proactively manage deadlines, limitation periods and case progression
- Maintain accurate, compliant and audit-ready files in line with regulatory standards (SRA, Lexcel, AML)
- Contribute to team collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or experienced Fee Earner
- Ideally, 2-6 years' experience within clinical negligence
- Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously
- Strong understanding of the clinical negligence litigation process and CPR
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Client-focused with a professional, empathetic approach
- Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems
