We are working with a large, reputable leading international consultancy who are looking to appoint an Associate Director to join their Cost Management team in Liverpool. This is a key leadership role supporting the delivery of high-profile, high-value projects across a range of sectors, offering the opportunity to shape commercial strategy and drive exceptional project outcomes. You will be working across a mixture of sectors including higher education, commercial, local authority etc. This is a hybrid working role offering flexibility and scope for progression.
As an Associate Director, you will lead major programmes and client accounts while driving business growth and operational performance. You will play a central role in developing senior client relationships, enhancing team capability, and contributing to the continued success and expansion of the business. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded professional to step into a senior leadership position with real influence over projects, people, and performance.
Your role
- Lead major programmes, frameworks, and key client accounts.
- Provide strategic commercial oversight and assurance across projects.
- Oversee governance, risk management, and commercial compliance.
- Deliver senior commercial advice on high-value and complex projects.
- Drive business development initiatives and support regional growth plans.
- Lead team development, including talent management and succession planning.
- Support recruitment, people development, and performance management.
- Manage fee proposals, forecasting, and financial performance.
About You
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Member of the RICS (or equivalent professional body).
- Significant experience in a senior cost management or commercial role.
- Proven track record of leading large, complex projects or programmes.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and strategic expertise.
- Experience managing client relationships and supporting business growth.
- Confident leadership style with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
