I am working with a vibrant school in Leicester that is looking for a hands-on, dependable Premises Officer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. If you're someone who takes pride in keeping a site running smoothly, safely and efficiently, this role could be a great match.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Championing a safe, welcoming school environment through routine repairs, site checks and general maintenance
- Opening and securing the premises each day, including managing alarms and ensuring the site is ready for staff and pupils
- Keeping standards high by monitoring cleaning routines and supporting the cleaning team when required
- Carrying out essential safety checks and completing straightforward maintenance logs and paperwork
- Managing stock and supplies, ordering materials and ensuring equipment is stored correctly and safely
- Supporting school lettings, events and daily site operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes
- Working with external contractors and assisting with minor on-site projects to keep the school functioning at its best
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Previous school-based experience in a premises, caretaking or maintenance role
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Someone organised, dependable and able to work safely at all times
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- A calm, reliable approach and the ability to multitask confidently
