Your new company Hays are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a large and well-established organisation with a complex and diverse estate, for an M E Project Engineer to join their Estates and Project Delivery team. The organisation is committed to ongoing investment in its infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, and built environment, with a strong pipeline of capital and maintenance projects. Your new role As an M E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of capital and revenue projects from inception through to completion, following the RIBA Plan of Work. You will lead multiple projects (typically £250k-£5m) with a strong Mechanical Electrical bias, including Long Term Maintenance schemes, minor works, and energy/carbon reduction initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing projects to meet time, cost, and quality objectives
- Developing project briefs and supporting business cases and funding bids
- Identifying and implementing appropriate procurement strategies
- Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors
- Acting as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with H S, CDM regulations
