We are seeking dedicated, patient and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants / Education Support Workers to work at a mainstream Sixth Form College in Leicester on a full-time and long-term basis.

This role is ideal for anyone passionate about helping young people between the ages of 16-19 with additional needs succeed in a post-16 setting.

The role at a glance You'll be supporting learners aged 16-19 with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop essential life and study skills.

Your support will play a key role in their academic progress and personal development.

What you'll be doing Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.

Assisting in classroom, workshop and vocational sessions.

Encouraging independence, communication and social development.

Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals.

Supporting progress towards EHCP targets.

Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

What we're looking for Recent experience supporting young people with SEN (education, care, youth work or similar backgrounds welcome).

Hold GCSE's (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science - essential for this role.
