Principal Asset Estate Surveyor - MRICS Corporate Property : Local Authority Hybrid work - 2 days in County Hall ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Disposals Asset Estate Surveyor to proactively lead, direct and deliver disposal and L T activity across the Council's estate, with particular responsibility for the Investment programme.
The portfolio is varied and spans offices, industrial and distribution premises, a rural estate, development land and non-property investments.
In addition, the role oversees disposals and acquisitions arising from the rationalisation of the Council's operational estate, ensuring best consideration is achieved in line with Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972.
MAIN DUTIESDevelop and produce asset management and investment strategies and programmes.
Identify surplus and under-performing assets and develop appropriate value-add initiatives and/or disposal plans.
Undertake rigorous financial and commercial appraisals to assess feasibility and ensure value for money solutions for new lettings, rent reviews, renewals, refurbishments etc.
