You will work alongsideexperienced legal professionals, supporting the organisation in managing legalrisk and responding to complex challenges. /n Keyresponsibilities will include: /n /n - Advising on litigation matters and wider public law issues. /n - Supporting responses to inquests and public inquiries. /n - Managing litigation matters, including judicial reviews and other legal challenges. /n - Instructing and working alongside external counsel where required. /n - Providing practical legal advice to senior stakeholders and decision-makers. /n - Identifying legal risks and supporting strategies to mitigate them. /n - Liaising with government departments and external stakeholders on legal matters. /n - Supporting a broader range of legal work across advisory and regulatory functions as business needs require. /n /n /n To succeed: /n You will be aqualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of LegalExecutives and possess strong legal analysis and stakeholder management skills NQ-3PQE (guidelines only). /n The successfulcandidate is likely to demonstrate: /n /n - Experience handling litigation, disputes or public law matters. /n - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. /n - The ability to analyse evidence and apply sound legal judgement. /n - Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to advise stakeholders at all levels. /n - The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. /n - A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to legal problem-solving. /n /n Applications arewelcomed from lawyers with experience gained in regulatory, public sector,government, tribunal, investigations, enforcement or wider litigationenvironments. /n What you'll get in return /n /n - Membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme. /n - 32 days annual leave plus bank holidays. /n - Hybrid and flexible working arrangements. /n - Exposure to high-profile litigation, public inquiries and judicial review work. /n - Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities. /n - The opportunity to contribute to work that has a direct impact on the public interest. /n /n Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
