The firm continues to invest in its employment offering and is now looking to recruit an experienced Employment Senior Associate / Legal Director into either its Leeds or Newcastle office. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior employment lawyer looking for high-quality work, significant client responsibility and the opportunity to play an active role within a collaborative and supportive team. You will join an established employment team advising a broad client base, including businesses, owners and managers, HR professionals, in-house legal teams, public and private sector organisations, as well as senior employees and executives. Employment Tribunal litigation, including discrimination and whistle-blowing claims Disciplinary, grievance and wider employee relations matters Corporate support and transactional employment work At this level, you will have significant responsibility for managing your own matters and client relationships, alongside opportunities to supervise and support junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals will also work closely with colleagues across other departments and contribute to the team's wider business development activities. You will be a qualified solicitor or equivalent with significant experience in employment law and the ability to operate at Senior Associate or Legal Director level. Strong experience across contentious and non-contentious employment law Experience handling Employment Tribunal claims The ability to supervise and support more junior members of the team An interest in business development and building your profile within the employment market The position can be based in Leeds or Newcastle and would suit an experienced employment lawyer looking for their next step at Senior Associate or Legal Director level.
