Are you passionate about helping young people with dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties thrive academically, socially, and personally? An independent specialist school is seeking a committed Learning Development Mentor to support Sixth Form students across its main site and partner college locations. This is a rewarding role within a unique educational environment that supports students with Dyslexia and co-occurring SpLDs. You'll play a key part in helping learners develop independence, confidence, and the skills they need for their next steps.
Your new role
As a Learning Development Mentor, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to Sixth Form students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop independence.
- Support students with Dyslexia and SpLDs and deliver academic support to help them learn as effectively as possible.
- Deliver English and Maths tutoring, including GCSE resit preparation and Functional Skills development.
- Lead study skills sessions, mentoring programmes, and small-group work focused on independence and life skills.
