Your new school is a specialist provision based in the Lancaster area. The school supports children and young people with a wide range of additional needs and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and highly individualised learning environment. You will be joining a dedicated staff team who work collaboratively to support pupils in developing both their academic and personal skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and child-centred Class Teacher to lead a complex needs classroom. The class supports pupils aged 7-14, with behavioural needs and a range of learning profiles. The cohort includes nine pupils, predominantly with autism, though not exclusively. You will be supported by a strong in-class team of Teaching Assistants, including an experienced HLTA who plays a key role in delivering interventions and maintaining routines. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about helping pupils achieve meaningful progress.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Lead and manage a skilled support team to ensure consistent, high-quality provision

  • Implement behaviour regulation strategies and personalised learning plans
