You will be joining an organisation with a strong focus on effective IT operations, governance and operational controls. Your new role

As an IT Operations Administrator, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the IT Operations Manager and the wider IT Operations team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, records, trackers and logs, supporting audits, reporting activities and follow-up actions. You will work across multiple tasks and stakeholders, ensuring information is well organised, up to date and easily accessible, helping the IT Operations function maintain clear visibility of priorities and effective administrative controls.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have strong administrative experience, ideally within an IT or technology environment. You will be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You will also need:

  • Experience maintaining trackers, records, spreadsheets and structured documentation
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel (including formulas such as XLOOKUP and pivot tables)
  • Experience producing clear written documentation, reports or summaries
  • The ability to gather and organise information from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach

Experience supporting audits, document control or compliance activities would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a competitive day rate of £127.50-£150 per day, based on a 37.5-hour working week. This role offers the opportunity to work within a structured IT Operations environment, gaining exposure to documentation control, audit processes and operational reporting, while supporting a collaborative and fast-moving IT team based in Hertfordshire.
