Intermediate Track Personal Injury Solicitor/CILEX

Job Description /n Your new company /n A well-established and highly regarded claimant law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer to join its growing team. The firm handles a broad range of personal injury matters and offers the opportunity to manage more complex claims with values of up to £100,000. /n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PI fee earner looking to develop their litigation experience and build a caseload focused on Intermediate Track work. /n /n Your new role /n You will manage your own caseload of litigated and non-litigated claimant personal injury matters, handling cases from initial instruction through to settlement or trial. /n Your caseload will include claims valued up to £100,000, with a particular focus on RTA and Intermediate Track matters. Depending on your experience, there may also be opportunities to handle EL/PL and Occupiers' Liability claims. /n Key responsibilities will include: /n /n - Managing a caseload of litigated and non-litigated claimant PI matters. /n - Handling RTA claims, including MIB untraced and uninsured driver matters. /n - Progressing Intermediate Track claims with values of up to £100,000. /n - Investigating liability and quantum and obtaining appropriate medical and non-medical evidence. /n - Drafting and issuing proceedings and ensuring compliance with the CPR and Court directions. /n - Attending conferences, hearings and CMCs with Counsel where required. /n - Advising clients on settlement offers, litigation risks, costs and fundamental dishonesty. /n - Reviewing evidence carefully to assess prospects of success and maximise damages. /n - Negotiating liability and quantum with defendant solicitors and insurers. /n - Maintaining strong client relationships and providing regular, clear updates throughout the life of each claim. /n - Working towards agreed fee and settlement targets. /n /n What you'll need to succeed /n You will ideally be a qualified Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer, although candidates working towards appropriate CILEx litigation rights may also be considered. /n You should have: /n /n - Experience independently managing claimant personal injury claims. /n - Strong experience of both litigated and non-litigated RTA claims. /n - Exposure to Intermediate Track or former Multi-Track matters. /n - A good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and personal injury litigation procedure. /n - Experience of issuing proceedings and managing cases subject to Court directions. /n - The ability to assess liability, quantum, evidence and litigation risk. /n - Strong client care, negotiation and communication skills. /n - Experience of EL/PL or Occupiers' Liability claims would be advantageous but is not essential. /n - Experience working towards fee or settlement targets would also be beneficial. /n /n What you'll get in return /n You will join an established claimant personal injury team where you will have the opportunity to handle good-quality litigated work and further develop your experience of higher-value and Intermediate Track claims. /n The role offers a clear opportunity to develop technically while taking responsibility for your own caseload and working alongside experienced personal injury lawyers. /n /n What you need to do now /n /n If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. /n Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
