A well-established and values-driven charity based in Bath is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who is looking for flexibility and meaningful work within a supportive environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day finance operations, and contributing to continuous improvement across finance processes.

7 hours over 3 days or 5 hours over 4 days (20 hours total per week) | 2 days mandatory on-site

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensuring appropriate approval processes are followed
  • Preparing and processing payment runs, including BACS
  • Handling supplier queries effectively
  • Raising invoices on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • Allocating incoming payments and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Investigating and resolving reconciling differences
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly management information
  • Supporting finance colleagues with transactional and reporting tasks
  • Responding to internal and external finance queries
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
