Hays Legal is exclusively instructed with a rare in-house employment opportunity. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a high-profile Yorkshire-based organisation on key and often sensitive matters. Suitable candidates wil live local to Yorkshire.
The successful employment lawyer will:
- Provide advice on day-to-day employment issues (contentious and non-contentious) together with commercial recommendations
- Conduct negotiations on behalf of the organisation if a dispute has arisen, at Employment Tribunal as appropriate
- Work closely with the HRD
- Conduct ET advocacy and instruct Counsel/external lawyers as appropriate
- Act as an advocate at internal tribunal proceedings (i. disciplinary & appeal hearings)
- Draft, update and review employment contracts, policies, procedures etc
- Deliver training to the HR team & others
