Your new school: We are working with a variety of schools throughout Leicestershire that are inclusive and nurturing specialist settings where pupils are truly at the heart of everything they do. They support children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD/PLD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD), offering a highly personalised curriculum that promotes communication, independence and wellbeing.

Your new role: As a full-time SEN Teacher, you will plan, deliver and assess engaging, differentiated learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of pupils with complex learning needs. You will create a safe, structured and motivating learning environment, using a range of specialist strategies and approaches to support progress. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals to develop and implement EHCP outcomes, ensuring all pupils are supported holistically. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day and to develop your expertise within specialist education.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience with or a strong interest in PLD, MLD and/or SLD
  • A child-centred, inclusive approach with high expectations for all learners
  • Strong classroom practice with the ability to differentiate and personalise learning
  • A commitment to teamwork, collaboration and reflective practice
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, resilient attitude
  • A willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning and specialist training
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate with the passion and commitment to develop within a specialist setting.
