You will be joining a well-established and growing highways specialist subcontractor delivering street furniture and minor civil works across England. The business works closely with Tier 1 contractors and agents on major frameworks and is currently experiencing a strong uplift in workload. Due to increased client documentation requirements, they are expanding their commercial and operational support function.

As an office-focused Contracts Manager, you will be based out of the company's Derby office, supporting live projects nationwide primarily from a documentation, coordination and client-facing perspective. The role is designed to reduce pressure on site-based teams by taking ownership of Tier 1 paperwork, programmes and reporting.

Key duties will include:

  • Producing and managing RAMS, programmes and project documentation
  • Managing Tier 1 and client paperwork requirements
  • Supporting site teams with contractual and administrative tasks
  • Preparing reports for progress and performance meetings
  • Liaising closely with site-based Contracts Managers and Supervisors
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality and client standards

This role is predominantly office-based, with minimal travel and no regular night work.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A background in highways, civils, fencing or related infrastructure works
  • Strong experience managing client and Tier 1 documentation
  • Confidence using IT systems, programmes and reporting tools
  • CSCS card
  • SSSTS as a minimum
  • SMSTS and direct VRS experience are desirable but not essential, as full technical support and training will be provided.
