Hays Education is working in partnership with a secondary school to recruit an experienced Health Social Care Teacher to cover sickness on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and committed teacher who can confidently deliver Health Social Care to KS3/4 and/or KS5 and who has strong experience with assessment, moderation, and Internal Verification (IV) processes.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Health Social Care lessons
  • Assess student work in line with awarding body requirements
  • Contribute to or lead moderation and Internal Verification processes
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with department staff to ensure continuity during sickness absence

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching Health Social Care
  • Strong knowledge of moderation and IV requirements
  • The ability to adapt quickly and provide high-quality cover
  • A professional, reliable, and supportive approach
