Hays Accountancy & Finance is recruiting a Group Reporting Accountant on behalf of a well-established and internationally recognised organisation.Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible role with responsibility for delivering high-quality group reporting and management reporting, whilst driving improvements in reporting quality, automation and financial insight across the business.This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys improving reporting quality, streamlining processes and partnering with stakeholders to support better business decision-making.

Your new role
Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
  • Prepare group consolidations and support reporting requirements across the Group.
  • Improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of group reporting and management reporting.
  • Drive month-end process improvements and reduce reporting timescales.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved use of finance systems and technology.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and workforce planning activities.
  • Provide meaningful business analysis across overheads, sales, margins, stock and operational performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders to explain financial performance and support commercial decision-making.
  • Manage UK and German payroll processes alongside HR and external providers.
  • Support the annual audit process and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and wider business improvement projects.

What you'll need to succeed
About You

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA qualified.
  • Experience in group reporting, management reporting and business partnering.
  • Proven ability to improve reporting processes, controls and management information.
  • Experience reducing reporting timescales whilst maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable process improvement and automation experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative and focused on continuous improvement.

Desirable Experience

  • Multi-entity reporting and group consolidations.
  • ERP implementation, systems improvement or finance transformation projects.
  • Experience working within an SME environment.
