I'm currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established business in Basingstoke on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional or someone studying towards their AAT qualification who is looking to gain further exposure within a busy finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier invoices and payment runs
- Bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable administration
- Raising sales invoices and monitoring outstanding payments
- Processing employee expenses
- Supporting month-end activities and account reconciliations
- Assisting with financial reporting and audit requests
- Credit control and debt collection support
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance
We're looking for:
- Previous Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar experience
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT would be advantageous.
