We are recruiting Special School Teachers to work in a range of SEND and specialist schools in Halesowen and surrounding areas. Opportunities are available across Halesowen, Cradley, Cradley Heath, Old Hill, Blackheath, Rowley Regis, Stourbridge, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Smethwick, Hasbury, Lapal, Quinton, Bearwood, and Brandhall.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers with experience or a strong interest in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including SLD, PMLD, ASD, SEMH, and complex needs. Roles are available on a full-time, part-time, long-term, and day-to-day supply basis.

Special School Teacher Role Responsibilities:
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN teams
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Managing behaviour positively using trauma-informed and child-centred approaches
Special School Teacher Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND, SEN, or additional needs (special school experience desirable)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a difference
