Ideally, this role will be based in Glasgow on a hybrid basis with 2 days in the office. As Operational Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Governance team, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify, assess, monitor and manage operational risks. You will support the development of a robust risk culture by ensuring effective risk assessment, reporting, control testing and mitigation activities are embedded throughout the organisation.

A key responsibility of the role will be overseeing the rollout and implementation of a new Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure successful adoption of the platform, improve risk reporting capabilities, enhance data quality and support the integration of risk management processes into day-to-day operations.

You will lead the continued improvement of operational risk monitoring and reporting, undertake gap analyses, develop key risk indicators and provide insight into emerging and existing risks. You will also prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and governance committees, helping to inform strategic decision-making and business planning activities.

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience working within a risk management environment, ideally within financial services, insurance, healthcare or another regulated sector. You will have a solid understanding of operational risk frameworks and be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.

A degree or relevant professional qualification is desirable, alongside membership of a professional body such as the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
