An established organisation operating within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment is seeking a Business Data Analyst to improve data capture, structure, reporting, and usage across programmes, supporting operational delivery and commercial decision-making.
This role involves:
- Working with business stakeholders to understand reporting problems, data gaps, and decision-making requirements.
- Designing and developing clear, effective dashboards and reports (primarily using Power BI).
- Mapping existing processes and data flows, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Improving consistency and accuracy of management information across departments.
- Supporting commercial and operational teams with data-driven insight.
- Defining and documenting end-user reporting requirements.
- Acting as a bridge between technical data outputs and non-technical stakeholders.
- Introducing structure and clarity where processes and reporting are not yet fully defined.
- Engaging confidently across a range of functions in a regulated environment.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or Business Improvement Analyst.
- Strong experience building dashboards and reports, particularly using Power BI.
- Confidence analysing and interpreting data to produce actionable insight.
- Experience working across commercial, operational, or programme environments.
- Strong process-mapping and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A proactive, curious mindset with the confidence to work independently.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience in highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, infrastructure, engineering, or construction would be beneficial, but is not essential.
