A global engineering and manufacturing organisation with a strong presence across Europe, Asia, and North America. The business is undergoing an exciting phase of growth following a major acquisition, and this role sits within a high-performing division that delivers mission-critical technology to aerospace, industrial, and energy sectors.
As Financial Controller, you will be a key strategic partner to the VP Finance and divisional leadership team. You will lead all aspects of financial planning, reporting, compliance, and control across a multi-site international business. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant scope to influence business performance and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Overseeing general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and internal control frameworks
- Managing audit relationships and statutory reporting
- Driving improvements in financial processes, reporting accuracy, and cost control
- Leading and developing a team of finance professionals
- Supporting strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects across the business
What you'll need to succeed:
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 10 years' experience in manufacturing finance, including 5+ years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role. You'll have strong technical accounting knowledge, ERP systems experience, and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders. Experience with US GAAP, SOX compliance, and international operations is highly desirable.
