An established and growing organisation within the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to gain exposure to a broad range of transactional finance responsibilities within a busy and supportive environment.
Your New Role: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function. Duties will include:
- Processing supplier invoices and matching against purchase orders.
- Managing accounts payable activities and supplier payments.
- Processing BACS and CHAPS payments.
- Handling employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
- Posting daily cash entries and assisting with banking activities.
- Performing bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting.
- Assisting with cash flow updates and financial controls.
- Resolving supplier queries and liaising with internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the finance team with ad hoc accounting duties as required.
