Your new company is a well-established international (re)insurance brokerage seeking a Facultative Reinsurance Broker to join its specialist Property Energy team. The organisation has a strong footprint across Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent, working with global carriers, Lloyd's markets, and regional cedants. Due to continued growth within its facultative portfolio, the firm is expanding its London broking team.
Your new role involves acting as an intermediary for complex property and energy facultative reinsurance risks, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end placement process. Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing underwriting submissions, exposure data, and risk profiles to develop tailored reinsurance solutions that meet client requirements.
- Negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing with Lloyd's and international reinsurers to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and global market counterparts.
- Travelling to key regions when necessary to support business engagement.
- Managing all documentation and slip preparation, ensuring lead-signed placement documents are issued within required timeframes, including within 24 hours of binding.
- Identifying opportunities to expand the facultative portfolio and contributing to wider business objectives.
