Job Description
Your new teamThis is an opportunity for an experienced consultant to join one of Hays' most established and high-profile specialisms. Our London Central Business Support team is located in Cheapside, and is a public sector-facing recruitment team that has enjoyed significant success. They are a major contributor to the fees of the London Central Region, with plenty of scope for further development, and have won 'Team of the Year' in recent times. We are seeking a commercial and ambitious individual to join the team and help drive it forward in both fees and securing new clients. Working with an established team that includes Senior Business Managers, this is an exciting time for someone to join a collaborative and friendly team and make an impact from day one. Your new roleAs a senior consultant, your primary focus will be to develop and nurture relationships with decision markers across all London central government organisations and agencies. You will proactively map your decision makers using LinkedIn and our in-house system, and then organise to meet with these decision makers, which will include HR professionals, CEOs, Directors, line managers, and other key stakeholders. Your role is a target-driven and sales-based role, where you are responsible for encouraging these organisations to work with you to support their recruitment. The role is a sales-based role where you are required to sell daily-sell against internal recruitment teams, sell against budget restraints, sell against central government processes etc. Once you have an organisation that agrees to partner with you, your role then includes sourcing the best and most experienced candidates for these interim roles, in a fast-paced timeframe. You will be measured on the number of interims you can place into assignments every 4 weeks. You will need to demonstrate inquisitiveness and commercial insight to secure leads and negotiate terms of business competitively. What you'll need to succeed: You will have experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant or above, as well as a proven track record in business development and recruitment. You will be a highly driven, ambitious and inspiring individual who can drive success in those around you and navigate the highs and lows of recruitment with resilience. You will be passionate about achieving team and individual goals; supportive of the development of others; and enjoy working as part of a growing team.Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with your colleagues, directors, candidates and clients alike as this will be vital to your own success and the success of the business. What you'll get in returnThis is a fantastic opportunity to take charge of a dynamic and established successful desk, and, over time, develop a stable and thriving business. This desk is a very warm desk and has consistently been billed over £220k in the last two financial years. You will be working as part of a collaborative sector group, where you will learn the intricacies of the civil service recruitment process. You'll be supported by and report to a Senior Business Manager with 8 years of experience, who has previously worked on this exact desk. This means you'll have a reliable mentor to guide you as you get acquainted with the role. You'll also benefit from a strong management network across the region and have the chance to enhance your leadership skills through training programs. As a fee-earner, there's a significant opportunity to build relationships with existing clients, expand the market, and explore new areas of growth. This role will enable you to advance your career in a positive and proactive manner. If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
