Your new company is a successful and growing Kent-based SME operating across the commercial sector, with a strong track record delivering high-quality projects within healthcare and education. Schemes typically range from £500k to £3m, including a mix of fitout, refurbishment, and complex live-environment projects. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a talented Estimator to join the commercial team in this newly created role.

Your new role is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants to take ownership, influence project outcomes early, and work closely with an experienced Commercial Manager in a friendly, fast-moving SME environment. You'll be involved from first enquiry through to tender submission, playing a pivotal role in shaping winning bids and contributing to ongoing commercial strategy.

Duties:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive tenders across healthcare and education projects
  • Carry out detailed take-offs, cost analysis, and subcontractor comparisons
  • Liaise closely with the Commercial Manager on tender strategy and pricing
  • Issue enquiries, manage subcontractor communications, and validate returned quotations
  • Evaluate risk, produce value engineering options, and challenge design where appropriate
  • Prepare tender summaries and support handover to project teams
