You will be joining a multi-accredited and well-established contractor operating in the highways industry. This high-profile contractor has a strong reputation for delivering projects valued between £1m-£9m for National Highways and multiple local authorities and offers a strong pipeline of work as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Planner to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Brentwood office with hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As a Planner, you will be a key contributor to the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, with responsibilities including:
- Producing, developing and maintaining construction programmes from first principles using works information and drawings
- Managing and updating short-term and long-term programmes to reflect progress, change and risk
- Leading on daily scheduling and planning activities to support efficient project delivery
- Working closely with site teams to understand construction methodologies and sequencing
- Supporting the commercial team by substantiating change, ensuring robust records and supporting evidence are maintained
- Contributing to NEC contract processes, including early warnings, impacted programmes and compensation events
