We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Outreach Teacher to support pupils with Emotional, Behavioural and Social Difficulties (EBSD/ESBA) who are currently unable to access mainstream education. This rewarding role focuses on providing 1:1 and small-group teaching within the community, helping young people re-engage with learning and build positive routines.

Location: Blackley

Contract: Full-time / Long-term

Start: 20th April

Rate: Up to £230/day DOE

Driving Licence Required: (with Business Insurance)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised learning sessions to pupils in community settings or their homes
  • Follow tailored learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people who may present challenging behaviours
  • Work collaboratively with the school, SENCO, and external agencies
  • Track and report on progress, attendance, and engagement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH/EBSD needs (school or alternative provision)
  • Confident delivering differentiated lessons outside of a traditional classroom
  • A calm, patient and restorative approach
