This popular City firm is looking for a versatile corporate tax lawyer to get involved in a broad range of work (both domestic and international) including corporate M&A, corporate reorganisations and real estate transactions. You will also assist the banking, employment, warranty and indemnity and other teams, whenever tax issues arise. Enjoy a diverse range of clients in the technology and media, retail, insurance and financial services sectors.
Specific areas of advice include:
- drafting and negotiating tax warranties and indemnities for both buy-side and sell-side on corporate M&A ranging from small - through to medium and large-sized deals
- drafting tax clearance / relief requests
- preparing notes of advice for clients, on a wide-variety of subjects, including complex stamp duties and VAT analysis
- advising as to the tax treatment of a variety of real estate transactions (with a focus on SDLT and VAT issues)
- considering the tax treatment of various share incentive arrangements, and assisting in the drafting of share scheme documentation
Ideally you will have a strong grounding in corporate / transactional tax including experience in supporting on a wide range of M&A and corporate reorganisation work, together with experience of tax issues in real estate transactions, and in employment matters.
