An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to play a key role in driving engineering performance, developing talent, and ensuring operational excellence across a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an electrically qualified engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges while mentoring and developing others.
Acting as the link between engineering, operations, and management, you'll lead shift engineering activities, coordinate maintenance priorities, drive reliability improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
A significant part of the role will involve taking ownership of the engineering apprenticeship programme, coaching apprentices and engineers, working with training providers, and helping build a highly skilled, future-ready engineering team.
The successful candidate will have a strong industrial engineering background, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to work with operational and senior leadership teams.
Experience with PLCs, conveyor systems, drives, motors, HMIs, inspection equipment, pumps, or automated production equipment would be highly advantageous.
