Are you an ECT primary teacher who wants to network your skills in the local area of Wigan, Ormskirk, and Chorley? Are you currently on the search for your next role? We are currently supporting various primary schools to fill their vacancies from September. These roles are directly through Hays, so you won't find them advertised elsewhere. At Hays, we have a variety of popular and well-respected schools already seeking out new and enthusiastic ECTs for their full-time posts. We are looking for ECTs who are able to teach engaging and dynamic lessons across the curriculum in their specific subject. Required to start for September 2026.

Your new role

As an ECT/NQT, we will support you in the search for a permanent position. Failing that, we can support you with supply work which can be on both a long-term and short-term basis - depending on your preferences. We work with numerous primary schools across the North West, including Wigan, Chorley, Burscough and Ormskirk, so no matter where you're located, we can support you. The jobs we offer will require you to have previous relevant experience, and you may be expected to follow lesson plans and deliver.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running.
