We're recruiting for a Mechanical Project Supervisor to support major new-build water treatment works across South Dorset. This role is with a Tier 1 contractor delivering large-scale clean water infrastructure projects.
Role Overview
- Supervise mechanical installation works on new-build water treatment schemes
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure high-quality workmanship
- Monitor progress, safety, and compliance across mechanical activities
- Support commissioning of pumps, pipework, valves, tanks, and process equipment
- Ensure all works meet project specifications, industry standards, and H&S requirements
- Liaise with project engineers, site managers, and client representatives
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising mechanical works on new-build water treatment plants
- Background with Tier 1 contractors or major utilities frameworks
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems used in water treatment environments
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain site discipline
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS/ECS Card
- EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- City & Guilds Authorised Person Module
