We're looking for a confident, safety-driven Mechanical professional to take on a frontline supervisory role on a major infrastructure project with up to 3 years of continuous work. If you're a hands-on leader who knows Mechanical systems inside out and isn't afraid to challenge unsafe work, this is your next move.
The Role
- Supervise Mechanical operatives and subcontractors
- Ensure full compliance with Mechanical Safe Systems of Work
- Support permit-to-work and safe isolation processes
- Lead toolbox talks, briefings, and daily coordination
- Oversee installations, testing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning
- Identify hazards and drive continuous safety improvement
- Maintain Mechanical records, inspections, and equipment logs
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Time-served Mechanical Engineer / NVQ Level 3 CSCS Gold Card (Pipefitter, Mechanical Engineer, or equivalent)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems and safe isolation
- Proven experience supervising Mechanical works
- Ability to interpret drawings, RAMS, and permits
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A proactive, safety-first mindset
Desirable:
- Asbestos Awareness
- First Aid / Emergency First Aid at Work
