Your new company Hays Accountancy and Finance are recruiting and working in partnership with a large public sector organisation for the appointment of a Deputy Principal Accountant offering a competitive market-leading salary and public benefits. This role will act as an integral member of the Department for Economy within the Northern Ireland Civil Service. Your new role Working within a team of Chartered Accountants consisting of a Grade 7, 3 Deputy Principal, 2 Staff Officers and 1 EO1 Accountants to provide a Financial Governance advisory / challenge function for the Department. Assist with a project to re-locate and operate an accountancy function from a 3rd party back into the Department. Assist with losses, pay remits and other ad hoc governance issues that arise. Leading project H&W to get records returned to the accountancy function in the Civil Service-you will be managing the process of this and embedding this into the finance team.
