You will be working with a leading UK principal contractor within their Infrastructure business, delivering high-profile local authority schemes across the Midlands. With a strong secured order book and long-term framework positions, the business has established itself as a trusted delivery partner for drainage, highways and infrastructure repair works.
Your new role
- Taking full responsibility for the safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of works
- Creating and maintaining a knowingly safe working environment in line with CDM regulations and relevant legislation
- Leading the planning, preparation and delivery of schemes across the full project life cycle
- Managing design engagement, coordination and collaborative workshops to deliver buildable solutions
- Selecting, onboarding and leading project teams and supply chain partners
- Overseeing commercial performance, including cost control, risk management and change
- Establishing site setup, temporary works and regulatory compliance prior to commencement
- Driving programme performance, innovation, reporting and continuous improvement
- Leading, motivating and managing teams to deliver projects to programme, budget and scope
- Managing multiple schemes across the Midlands, including occasional night works
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)
- Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within infrastructure, highways or drainage works
- Experience delivering works for local authorities and under framework agreements
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing cost, risk and change
- Experience managing multiple projects across a geographically dispersed region
