We are supporting the London business of a Top Tier National Residential Developer with a growing precon team. They have a focus on large scale London regeneration schemes in partnership with RPs and Local/National Government. They are looking for a Cost Planner to join and work with an established and experienced Estimating and Cost Planning team.

You will provide robust, accurate cost planning and early-stage estimating, supporting development of bids and pre-construction strategy, ensuring cost accuracy from concept through to tender onto project delivery. You will work closely with bid teams, pre-construction colleagues, the development team, consultants and clients, delivering cost advice on complex schemes circa £100M+.

You will:

  • Produce accurate, detailed cost plans across all project stages.
  • Confidently prepare full elemental and detailed cost plans using New Rules Measurement.
  • Develop early-stage budget costs to support development appraisal modelling.
  • Guide design development during early RIBA stages (0-3) with a focus on cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners for specialist pricing input, rate checks, and market intelligence.
  • Identify key risks and opportunities within cost plans and estimates.
  • Provide expert cost guidance to bidding teams, including managing changes throughout cost planning.
  • Prepare forecasts for tender and construction inflation.
