A well-established and innovative organisation is looking to recruit a Corporate Counsel to assist with their Group Corporate functions. The business is a respected brand and in a slowly transformative phase of its growth.

This position will be a long-term contract role, so please only apply if you are available to start within a maximum of 6 weeks, ideally sooner. You will be reporting to the General Counsel and working with some impressive individuals in this role, as well as getting exposure to some very interesting and high-profile work. It will be of a generalist nature with a corporate focus, including but not limited to:

  • M&A
  • Reorganisations
  • Company secretarial
  • General corporate
  • Commercial

You will be working internationally (although not expected to travel), so you will have exposure to many different jurisdictions, predominantly from a corporate perspective. As the role is a contract role, you will not be expected to be heavily strategic, but you will be expected to step up where needed and be very innovative/think on your feet within a fast-paced environment. The team is friendly, high performing and extremely likeable.

You will need to be England and Wales or Commonwealth qualified, with 2-6 years PQE (guideline only). Corporate Lawyers from private practice and in-house will be considered for this role, so if you are a private practice individual looking for a move in-house, please do apply. You will have the ability to pick up a generalist position, with a focus on corporate, and you will have support within the role, both more junior and senior. However, you will be expected to take the lead and assist the more junior employees.
