Your new firm is a global insurance law firm currently recruiting a Complex Property Lawyer on a largely home-working basis. The team acts for a large number of insurer clients, undertaking some of their highest value, highest profile and most challenging work. The work falls into three broad categories: subrogated recovery claims, defendant public liability property damage claims, and policy coverage both advisory work and disputes. In short, the team deals with disputes and problems arising out of fires, floods, storms, escapes of water, escapes of oil, explosions, and impact damage (basically any way in which a property might become damaged).
The team will consider applications nationwide; however, you will need to travel to Manchester on an ad hoc basis for team meetings.
What you'll need to succeed: You must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive lawyer with at least six months' relevant experience of property insurance work. You will be technically excellent with an aptitude for analysing difficult legal cases and able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on a day-to-day basis.
